Graham Braum is the General Manager of Lenovo Africa and has overseen business operations throughout the continent since 2012. Under Graham’s leadership, Lenovo’s African market share for PCs increased from 9.9% in 2013 to 16.8% in 2014, representing year-on-year growth of 68.4% (IDC 2014Q3) - the highest growth recorded among the region’s top five PC vendors. Since joining Lenovo, Graham has successfully expanded Lenovo’s business across new countries in Africa, building strong channels and adding local resources on the ground. Graham is passionate about IT and has filled many high-level positions in the industry. Previously, he spent 13 years with Acer Middle East and Africa (4.5 years in Dubai), starting off as Corporate Sales Manager in 1999, and evolving through product, sales and distribution management before being appointed Country Manager. Before Acer, Graham was involved in several positions in the value-add reseller space encompassing Private and Public sector roles, as well as Sales management. Graham has extensive experience in market penetration strategies, tactical and strategic sales and product management across multiple markets and segments. His key successes for Acer included excellent transactional market share gains in several countries, as well as the development and implementation of successful consumer and SMB channel strategies within Africa. Graham holds a BCom from the University of KwaZulu-Natal where he majored in Business Administration, Marketing and Psychology. He is an avid golfer, enjoys public speaking, and resides with his family in Johannesburg, South Africa.
