Toyota releases extremely vague teaser for 2016 Prius
Toyota has released the first teaser image for the 2016 Prius and, as you can see, it’s not exactly big on detail.
There’s not much to be gleaned from the teaser text either. It reads: “Get ready to take everyone by surprise. Tune in to see the next era of Prius”.
That could mean Toyota’s moving the brand totally away from the hybrid engine model which helped launch both the badge and hybrids as a viable vehicle segment. Now, it’s entirely unlikely that means it’s abandoned the car’s green credentials for a stonking great V8.
There are, of course, other options. Toyota’s been doing some serious work in the Hydrogen space lately, so maybe we’ll see a different style of hybrid all together.
