Clever intern turns to Hitler

An enterprising would-be intern has created (yet another) hilarious parody of the popular Adolf Hitler video clip to boost his chances of securing an internship at a well-known local Cape Town-based web agency.

Impressed with his ingenuity and creativity, the local agency, Quirk eMarketing, has apparently called the intern back for another interview.

The spoof clip centres around an excerpt from the film Der Untergang, and in the Quirk eMarketing parody a disgusted and furious Hitler thumbs his nose at the company after finding out he hasn’t been accepted for an intern position, even after making his CV “perfect”.

It is a hilarious and well-crafted 3 minutes and 46 seconds of good copywriting that pokes fun at the company’s CEO Rob Stokes, why working for Brandhouse is not an option, and even how ‘Ma Hitler’ has an RSS feed and that everything is about being digital these days.

Quirk has confirmed the parody is indeed “legitimate” and that it’s not a clever marketing ploy by the company.

It’s quite funny and the intern has sure got Memeburn’s vote. View the clip for yourself, below:

Zoopy vids do not load for me. If it's on youtube, I can view it.

To update you all. This talented candidate had his second of three interviews with us today and is looking good so far. I'll let you know if he gets the job…
@Ingrid, as much as I'd like to claim it, this was definitely not a viral campaign by Quirk. We are very selective with the interns we hire, but they know we like to think differently so they often really step out of the box to impress us. This was just another great example.

I know that you've been a regular viewer and commenter on Zoopy videos in the past – what's changed to result in you not being able to view them?

Very very cool. Rob you have a great company IMHO if this is what interns are inspired to do to get a job at you guys.

  • http://www.quirk.biz Rob

Thanks Zane, we are very proud of our interns. If they are the future of Quirk, I for one think we have a very bright future ahead.

It would seem so, I am glad we have companies in SA that people are this creative about getting in to.

I keep thinking it would be hysterical if you guys had some sort of intern battle, or celebrity death-match for interns to fight it out in. Or a Quirk Intern Bootcamp

Good luck with the rest of your workshops in Romania.

I installed Win7 in October 2009 and since then Zoopy does not work for me. I have the latest Flash plugins for Firefox installed, but no go.
