PS4 launch games and features detailed
A few weeks before the official launch of the PlayStation 4, Sony published a thorough Q&A detailing the do’s and don’t of the awaited next-gen console. The company also made a list of 21 games to be available on the launch date.
One of the things that stands out in the Q&A is the fact that the PS4 won’t be supporting external hardrives which means you’ll be limited to 500GB. But that won’t be too much of a problem as it was also made clear that it’s not possible to play audio CDs or listen to MP3s through the PS4. Only Blue-Ray, the way it’s meant to be.
Furthermore, some features to be available at launch will be the very welcome “background downloads, cross-game voice chat, transitioning to a network based on real-world friends, and live streaming gameplay footage via Ustream and Twitch.”
Earlier this week we saw a demonstration ad of the Xbox One’s UI which was very impressive, so we hope Sony manages to live up to our expectations.
Though not a train smash, some features that will start rolling out after the launch includes the share controller feature that will allow you to assist a friend via the internet, Suspend/Resume mode and the Wireless Stereo Headsets support.
This week Sony also published a list of games to be available when the console launches 15 November.
