Webfluential hit by phishing scam, users targeted with fake mail
Online influencer platform Webfluential has been hit by a phishing attack, which saw scam emails sent out to multiple influencers.
The scam email, which is the result of one of its accounts being compromised, comes with the subject line: “Global Influencer Contract Follow Up”. Once opened, the email asserts that the sender has sent you info to preview and sign, along with a call-to-action linking recipients to a Google Sheet.
Shortly after the email was sent out, Webfluential sent out a mail urging users not to open it.
