Welcome to Weekly Roundup, our podcast discussing the latest tech trends, innovation and news from the past few days.

This time, Hadlee Simons plays host to Andy Walker only, as Graham van der Made and Matthew Alexander are away.

The team discuss the personal finance app 22seven’s absorption into Old Mutual, resulting in the founders’ departures. We ponder how long the deal has been in place, and what South Africans should expect with the change.

We also discuss the #CupBlowingChallenge, in which teenagers are partaking in a strange science trick involving cups and the sheer force of their breath. We marvel at the skill, science and ridiculousness of it all.

The team then break down the electronic travel ban that prevents passengers travelling from the Middle East and North Africa from taking large electronics as carry-ons to the US.

Lastly, we look at Super Mario Run for Android, as well as the Android O developer preview, detailing the update but also asking important questions about updates in general.

What are we watching, reading, playing, reviewing: Andy is busy reviewing Sony and Huawei phones. He’s also been playing Styx, though he’s struggling to enjoy the protagonist.

Both he and Hadlee can barely contain their excitement for Formula 1 which kicks off this weekend. Hadlee’s still reviewing the Moto Z Play, and he’s also still playing Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
