R Kelly gets emotional and angry in first interview since ‘Surviving R Kelly’

R Kelly has spoken out for the first time since the documentary Surviving R Kelly aired.

In an interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning, the singer claimed that the sexual assault cases laid against him are all based on lies.

The interview turned emotional for Kelly, who can be seeing crying and even standing up waving his hands.

“They was describing Lucifer. I’m not Lucifer. I’m a man. I make mistakes, but I’m not a devil, and by no means am I a monster,” Kelly reportedly said in reference to the documentary.

The full interview is intense and borderline hysterical, with R Kelly screaming at one point.

“Thirty years of my career! And y’all trying to kill me? You killing me, man! This is not about music! I’m trying to have a relationship with my kids!” he said.

The interview aired on CBS This Morning just over an hour ago, South African time.
