Spotify’s version of Instagram Stories explains songs and lyrics to listeners
Based on user reports, Spotify is testing a new Storyline feature that gives users insider information about songs their listening to.
According to Android Police, the feature is an Instagram Stories-like series of cards that explain the meaning, inspiration and facts behind songs from the artists themselves.
Only some users have seen the feature on a select few songs on the platform.
Storyline appears below Spotify’s similar “Behind the Lyrics” feature, which breaks down song lyrics provided by Genius.
The company reportedly confirmed that it is testing the new feature for both iOS and Android users.
Spotify did not reveal when Storyline will officially roll out.
