Twitter loved these moments from the 2019 BET Awards
The 2019 BET awards took place in Los Angeles this weekend, commemorating some of the biggest stars in the music and movie industry.
The night was one of musical performances and emotional speeches, with a healthy dose of Twitter commentary too.
One of the more emotional moments came with a tribute to rapper Nipsey Hussel, who was shot and killed earlier this year.

It was Hussel’s daughter, however, that had social media talking.

Fans were also moved by Tyler Perry, who gave an acceptance speech after receiving the ultimate icon award.
The star spoke about the importance of helping people “cross” the figurative road to reach their dreams.
