SAA welcomes its gorgeous new Airbus A350-900 aircraft

South African Airways on Thursday took delivery of its brand-new airplane, an Airbus A350-900.
First announced back in July, the airline will take delivery of four of these aircraft before-year end.
According to Simple Flying, the first plane with tail number ZS-SDC, is on lease from China-based Hainan Airlines. It’s just over a year old. It arrived at OR Tambo from Singapore on Thursday.

It might be SAA’s most attractive aircraft (besides the adorable 747-SP) ever.
According to SAA, the A350-900 will begin operating by mid-December, replacing an older Airbus A340-600 on SAA’s JFK to OR Tambo route.
SAA will take delivery of three more A350-900s within the next six weeks. They’ll be in the airline’s charge for at least three years.
