‘Avengers: Endgame’ totals R74m in South Africa in just two weeks
Sick of hearing about Endgame? Tough luck, it seems that the news about its ludicrous success is only just beginning.
After it dethroned the James Cameron classic Titanic from its second place on the all time gross list, it has now cracked the R70-million mark at the Southern African box office.
According to film distributor FilmFinity, the final flick in the Infinity Saga spend its second week as the biggest movie in South Africa. It has since racked up R74.8-million locally too, making it the second highest grossing film in South Africa ever.
Infinity War previously held this title, with R73-million earned locally. Black Panther remains the only flick to cross the R100-million mark, with R107.5-million made in total, according to Disney South Africa.
