InDriver, the Russian-born ride-sharing service, is now available in Johannesburg.

The service, which lets riders bargain for the price of their rides with various drivers, launched in Cape Town earlier this year. It notes that 3000 drivers have signed up to the service since its launch in South Africa.

Drivers are also not required to pay commission for the first six months.

“After the six month period, our commission will be around 5-8%, much lower than in other ride-hailing services operating in the country,” the firm’s PR director Mikhail Zaytsev told Memeburn in February.

The service operates in more than 200 cities, with a reported 20-million users globally.
