Facebook is rolling out redesign beta with dark mode
After revealing plans to redesign Facebook at F8 back in May, Facebook this week started rolling out a beta update for some users.
Spotted by Android Police on Sunday, the new web version of Facebook now includes a dark mode as well.
According to the publication, users can choose between light and dark modes upon set-up of the new Facebook, or under settings.
Screenshots posted on Twitter further reveal that that dark mode changes Facebook’s traditionally white interface dark grey, and features a new layout as part of the redesign too.
The company, however, has not mentioned when the update will reach its wider community of users.
Mobile Facebook users, meanwhile, could also be enjoying a dark mode soon. Back in August, Jane Manchun Wong revealed the mode in its early development stages.
