Apple hacks out podcast app: iPod junkies rejoice

For all those podcast fiends out there, today is your day. That is, if you own an iPad or iPhone. Because Apple has released a dedicated app for podcasts.

Apple says it is a way to ‘discover, subscribe to and play your favorite podcasts’. There is a section labeled ‘top stations’ for the most popular podcasts. You can both listen to audio or watch video podcasts.

There’s a nice balance of old and new to the look of this app. It has a look akin to the new iOS 6 and at the same time an analog feel with its tape deck appearance. You can get automatic updates to all your favourite subscribed podcasts. So if you are a fiend for your podcasts, here is a neat little app for you podcast consolidation.
