Not bad. A day after we reported on the leaked images of Blackberry’s new L and N-Series, these dainty images of the new look BBM materialise. Sorry about the low-quality image, and the massive watermark. But hey, proof of concept FTW.

It’s all about saving battery-life isn’t it? RIM’s pulled off a neat trick here. By “slightly adapting the black theme” and “further optimising the OLED display”, up to 75% of the battery-life can be saved. So we say, awesome job RIM. Crappy battery life is the hallmark of many a smartphone and something as simple as chatting, can mess up a mobile battery something crazy. The Blackberry’s only reason for being is texting, so working on the battery for this function is masterclass.
