New iPod Touch and iPod Nano start shipping — boast impressive specs

Shipping has begun on Apple’s two new iPod products, the Touch and Nano. This confirms reports from MacRumors whose sources reported the release last week. The major changes for the Touch are “back casing” colorway options along with a 4″ retina display screen. It has also been fitted with a 5MP camera and runs iOS 6 with the help of Apple’s impressive Dual core A5 chip.

The Nano has also gone under knife with an entirely new look and feel compared to the previous generation. The new Nano’s design is akin to that of the Touch with a longer screen measuring 2.5″. It also has built-in radio and Bluetooth capability. The one downside however is that the new devices will sport the highly contentious Lightning port and will therefore require users to purchase the necessary adapters. A bit of a pain, but apart from that, these are two very well designed and thought out products.

There is certainly plenty of Apple merch’ hitting the shelves in upcoming months. Just in time for the festive season, your local iStore is gonna be hella’ packed.
