Fifa 14 gameplay trailer is officially awesome

EA is giving fans of its long-standing FIFA series a taste of things to come in the 2014 edition of massively popular football title FIFA with a brand new gameplay trailer.

Scheduled to come out later this year, FIFA 14 will no doubt introduce new gameplay mechanics while refining those from previous renditions. This year Precision Movement will be the flagship addition, which EA claims “recreates the dynamic movement of real-world players” based on something EA call locomotion technology.

Every aspect of gameplay should be improved with Precision Movement, but especially the manner in which players move on the field: allowing players to pivot, plant, cut and shift momentum with new ease and agility.

Momentum will also be affected by speed, giving players a wider spectrum of options especially on attack. This means that not only the timing of a run will be important, but also when and how you accelerate and decelerate.

At the end of the day, all improvements are designed to give gamers a feel that there are 22 unique individuals (and the ball) with their own weight and physics to ultimately produce the most realistic soccer simulation on the market.

So until you can “Dictate the Tempo” on the pitch, enjoy this gameplay trailer.
