iPad and iPad Mini join the party as Apple seeds iOS 7 beta 2

When iOS 7 was announced and seeded to developers two weeks ago at Apple’s WWDC, iPad and iPad Mini support was not included. It was an iPhone-only affair, and according to Macrumors.com, Apple’s begun seeding (sending out the installation packages — SDKs) of iOS 7 beta 2 and anyone with an iOS development center account can possibly update to the latest version of the mobile OS now.

To update iOS 7 OTA (over the air), go to settings > general > software update.

Here are some of the improvements on offer in iOS 7 beta 2:

  • The voice memo app is back
  • Those who have access to iOS 7 have said that Siri is “much faster than in Beta 1″
  • Apple demoed a new male and female Siri voice and this is now part of the beta 2 SDK

The rest of the information pertaining to iOS 7 can be found here, with Apple’s release notes –  which for some reason is not loading right now.

For those who want to download iOS 7 beta 2 manually, they can do so from the links below. Please note that only developers who pay for access will be able to install iOS 7 beta 2.
