The Division patch 1.4 will hope to revive a dying game
Third-person shooter-cum-RPG Tom Clancy’s The Division was one of the shooters I couldn’t wait to play. Since launch though, the game has seen a steady decline in active players.
To remedy this, Ubisoft has issued yet another patch for the game. Labelled as patch 1.4, the update will seek to give the game a new breath of life. Everything from the level and gear scores to the UI and controls has been altered, fixed or improved.
The Division’s patch 1.4 will seek to transform the game into something better
A new feature to the game is the World Tier ranking system which allows players to control the strength level of NPC’s encountered as well as the quality of the loot dropped.
Some UI improvements include the option to hop on a better server if you don’t like the one you’re on. Additionally, weapon skins will also no longer take up inventory space (by far my favourite improvement).
Some gameplay changes include enemies becoming less bullet-spongy, while shotgunners become less effective at long distance. NPCs have also been improved to react differently to player threats, allowing players to adequately manage agro NPCs.
The entire game is receiving a facelift again, some of the improvements and changes I’ve mentioned don’t even begin to scrape the surface of how the game will alter once the update is installed. Have a look at the extremely long list of patches here.
