The iStore has announced the availability of the latest generation Macbook Pro laptops in South Africa.
The 13-inch Macbook Pro was launched on 28 November in the country, while the 15-inch model will be available “soon”, the store chain wrote in an emailed statement.
Most of the new Macbook Pro models come equipped with a “Touch Bar”, being a touch-sensitive strip that replaces the row of function keys. The Touch Bar also includes a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, allowing users to authenticate purchases and lock down their device.

Otherwise, the 13-inch Macbook uses an Intel Core i5 chip and 8GB of RAM, while the 15-inch model uses a Core i7 chip and has 16GB of RAM. All of the new laptops sport four USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Apple is also promising “up to ten hours” of battery life for the laptops.
