Final Fantasy XIV’s 3.5 patch adds a tonne of content, changes

It’s time to download a new patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and while it only weighs in at just over 900MB (on PS4), the update adds an incredible amount to the game.

Firstly, if you don’t have it yet, go and purchase the Heavensward expansion right now. Why? The new patch adds a slew of content to said expansion.

Entitled The Far Edge of Fate, patch 3.5 adds a range of new high-level quests (Diabolos is back!), beast tribe quests, side-stories, and more goodies for the taking.

There are also a slew of gameplay and UI tweaks in order to make the title easier to navigate. For example, the Grand Company Seal Exchange window has been redesigned and Chocobo companions can be used in Grand Company Leves.

Not to mention the ridiculous amount of cosmetic additions, such as picture frames in apartments, furnishings, aquarium fish, and the list goes on.

There are far too many changes to list in this piece and I advise you check out the full patch notes here.

The next expansions to Final Fantasy XIV, Stormblood, will release in June this year. This release will signal the end of Square Enix‘s support for the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
