The Last Guardian gets $20 drop, but what about SA?
Say what you will about The Last Guardian, but you can’t deny that it’s one of the most important Sony releases of this generation.
In any event, Sony has confirmed that the PS4 title has received a permanent US$20 price cut in the United States, which means the game can be acquired for US$40.
But what about South Africa? Does the price cut affect us? Fortunately, Ster-Kinekor Entertainment has confirmed that South Africa will be receiving a price cut as well.
A representative confirmed that the new suggested price for South Africa is R699.99, down from R999 at launch.
It’s worth noting that US$20 is equivalent to R265 at the current exchange rate which, on the surface means that we’re winning. But truth be told, the current status quo of R999 (or thereabouts) for blockbuster games is tough on the pocket to begin with.
