Samsung reveals One UI for larger screen smartphones
Alongside its foldable smartphone concept, Samsung has revealed its upcoming brand new look, called One UI.
The new user interface, which was presented at Samsung’s Developer Conference, is all about simplicity and comfort, the company explained.
At present, One UI runs on top of Android 9.0 Pie.
“Find and focus on the content you want easily. The decluttered screen shows relevant information with each tap, so you only get the essentials, one at a time,” said the company on its website.
The design features new icons and neater, rounded displays. It’s also said to be easier to use on bigger screens, taking ergonomics into consideration.
The more “natural” user experience of One UI is currently available for testing in Samsung’s One UI Beta Programme, which you can sign up for through Galaxy Apps or Google Play.
The Beta Programme is only open to those in US and parts of Europe and Asia.
