You can control Nike’s Huarache self-lacing sneakers with the Apple Watch and Siri
Nike is expanding its self-lacing FitAdapt technology to the new Nike Adapt Huarache sneakers, the company revealed on Thursday.
Fashioned after the original 1991 Nike Huarache, the new pair of shoes boasts colour changing lights and custom lace adjustments, as well as support for Apple Watch and Siri.
“The latest iteration of FitAdapt allows for a wider array of personal preferences amid various environments and situations,” Nike said on its website.
When connected to the Nike Adapt app, users will now be able to use their Apple Watch or Siri to control how their Adapt Huarache sneakers lace-up and what colours the shoes display.
Although Nike did not reveal what users can expect to pay for the sneakers, the company did reveal that they will go on sale at selected stores on 13 September 2019.
Earlier this month, the company also launched its new subscription sneaker service for children.
