Rage 2020 expo goes virtual: How to book your free ticket

The annual South African gaming, technology, and geek culture showcase, rAge, is back on as a virtual event for 2020.

The exhibition, which was originally slated for September, was cancelled in June due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

However, after a range of successful local and international virtual events such as ComicCon Africa, DC Fandome, and the current New York Comic Con, organisers are moving forward with this year’s edition of rAge as a virtual event.

According to organisers, fans will be able to enjoy the best in local and international gaming, lifestyle, technology, robotics, esports, and cosplay. They will also be able to participate in special events, competitions, giveaways, and more.

Since the event will be conducted virtually, fans can attend while in their pajamas or even around a braai with some friends. All you need is a good internet connection.

“We’ve learned a lot from attending other online events throughout the year and have been making notes on what we liked and what we didn’t,”says Michael James, the event’s founder and project manager.

“We believe we’ve created a unique virtual experience that might not be what you’ve come to love and enjoy about a physical rAge Expo, but we hope it will keep you going until we can all connect with each other again in person.”

How to get your rAge 2020 ticket

Tickets for this year’s expo are free. The rAge Digital Edition will take place from 6 to 8 November.

Fans can book their free ticket on the Howler rAge event website.

For additional information on the event itself, you can visit the rAge expo website.
