EcoFlow brings in the upgraded EcoFlow River 2 Pro to SA
Portable power supplier EcoFlow has confirmed it will be bringing the EcoFlow River 2 Pro into the country, come the festive season, just in time for users to get themselves ready for next year’s load-shedding season.
EcoFlow, which has of late continued to beat competitors on charging speed, has confirmed it will be bringing a 780-watt, 3000-cycle River 2 Pro, expected in November.
EcoFlow River 2 Pro
The incoming addition to the River series joins the EcoFlow River, the EcoFlow River 2 Max, and the EcoFlow River Pro.
The EcoFlow River 2 Pro most likely is the replacement for the discontinued EcoFlow River Pro which is a 750Wh power station with a lithium leisure battery and a 600W inverter.
The successor the EcoFlow River 2 Pro comes with a sizable 768Wh capacity with an unconfirmed 800W output.
We can expect a fast charge as it will fall part of the river series which are synonymous with full charges under an hour.

EcoFlow confirms the latest River series devices comes upgraded with the ability to change the battery after 10 years. This means users can change the battery and continue using the same device for a little longer.
Breaking records
According to some research on this incoming EcoFlow River 2 Pro, it may set some interesting charging speed records with reports claiming it may beat the industry charging speed standard with a full charge in 70 minutes, five times faster than other power stations.
The Ecoflow River 2 Pro will come with the usual five-year warranty and about ten years of everyday use.
The incoming River 2 Pro will come packed with EcoFlow’s state-of-the-art battery management system (BMS) which monitors the voltage, and temperature of the River 2 series with multiple aspects of protection.
The River 2 Pro is expected to weigh around 7.8kg light enough to carry it camping.
