Need for Speed Unbound blew a gasket, labeled a gamer milkshake brain
It’s not every day that gaming social media managers break social media etiquette to antagonize fans.
Need For Speed Unbounds social media account went as far as calling a gamer milkshake brain.

Personally, we thought the entire interaction was funny, but let’s be responsible and say bad Need For Speed, – very bad.
You do not antagonize customers.
Social media accounts are supposed to be responsible with their responses as they’re meant to portray an engaging but professional image for the brand.
Need For Speed Unbound’s response to a gamer were irresponsible but may have gained some necessary publicity.
Where it began
It all started with a gamer’s response to Need for Speed’s pre-orders and the fact that gamers could get the palace edition to unlock 3-day early access for the game.
Several responses after proved that some gamers were not happy over the early access claiming they don’t want to pay more to play the game early.
The inflow of responses seem to have triggered the person manning the Need For Speed Unbound account.
The account accelerated to quickly in responding to gamers.
In one response, the Need for Speed Unbound account called a gamer Milkshake brain only to say “cry about it” in response to the gamers feedback.
While this may be hilarious, the general rule when you want to grow your brand is to take nothing personally.
In another response to a gamer about EA being unprofessional and the gamer threatening to cancel their pre-order, the Need for Speed response was just classic: “I’m not reading all that, sorry that happened to you or congratulations”.

Need for Speed quickly did a hand brake turn to apologize to gamers.
We admit we got a bit caught up in the hype for launch and some of our recent social media replies crossed the line. To those fans we upset, we apologize. We will do better. See you here next week.

Creators will always face criticism and it’s important to understand that feedback will always be polarized.
The game gained street cred for their witty responses and we think respect should always come from both ends.
