Hey iPhone users, Nokia thinks you’re a bunch of photo-crazed zombies

If you’re an iPhone user, you probably won’t take too kindly to the latest ad for Nokia’s Lumia 925.
The ad follows a 925 owner as he walks down a dark street, a little after midnight. As he nears the corner, he sees one flash, then another. A slew of pale-faced zombie-like creatures shuffle past him, all wearing similar dazed looks.
It quickly becomes clear that the massively powerful flash on the iPhone 5 has left them permanently over-exposed. After figuring this out, a zombie approaches our protagonist, slowly pronouncing the word “pho-to”. Will our protagonist ever escape? We don’t find out.
And that, perhaps even more than labeling iPhone users zombies (way to win over new customers), is where this ad falls a little flat. What are you trying to say Nokia? That no matter how good the features on your devices are, people could still be switched over by the zealous iZombies? Come to think of it, that does actually sound about right.
