GoPro films massive Great White shark trying to munch its way into a cage

Never will you be more petrified than when a three-meter shark tries to munch its way into your little underwater cage all the way out in the ocean. Think about it.

A couple of tourists off the coast of South Africa’s Mossel Bay recently captured a very hungry — perhaps teething Great White shark — on video, doing just that.

Shot with a GoPro Hero 4 wide angle, the animal attacks the metal shark cage’s buoy as if a pork chop, or in his case perhaps a juicy, salty seal. As terrifying it may be, we’re almost sure that the shark’s actions are simply just misunderstood.

Hillary Rae describes the situation on YouTube:

While shark cage diving, our cage was attacked by an 11.5 foot Great White shark. The round buoy attached to the side of the cage was bent in half. Some of the lining of the outside blue barrier bar was bitten through as well. It was quite the up close and personal experience!

We’ve really seen some great events filmed in our wild, weird world using GoPro’s, from an actual lamb chop floating up into space to not-so-savvy armed muggers and loads more.
