‘Cruel’ clip of Amor Vittone and Joost van der Westhuizen goes viral
YOU Magazine has released a sound clip that allegedly proves Amor Vittone was verbally abusive towards the late Joost van der Westhuizen when he was sick.
The clip, which was trending in YouTube’s top spot in South Africa Monday morning, sounds like a recorded phone call in which Vittone calls van der Westhuizen a “little boy” and “low life asshole”.
“I wish I didn’t marry you,” she taunts.
Van der Westhuizen can allegedly be heard mumbling on the other side of the call.
The video garnered over 61 000 views in two days on YouTube.
Many have deemed the recording fake, and Vittone herself has said it was manipulated.
“It’s an effort to destroy me,” she told YOU. “They want me to lose everything I’ve worked and fought for my entire life in an instant.”
The singer has called for the complete unedited version to be released.

“We invite the owner of the original telephone conversation to present it to us so we can investigate the contents,” her lawyer told TshisaLIVE.
On Facebook, some have taken to defending Vittone.
Others over on YouTube have investigated the recording, claiming multiple issues with its validity.
“Amore and Joost wont speak english to one another in private [sic], they are both Afrikaans,” one user wrote.
Another user found issue with how clear van der Westhuizen’s mumblings were as opposed to Vittone’s call — though this means little when it is unclear who made the recording.
Vittone has not entirely distanced herself from the clip, though, and has offered no explanation as to why she was using that language.
Many online have found fault in her alleged actions.
But most on Facebook wanted the family left alone to mourn in peace.
