This weekend saw a festival double header at opposite ends of South Africa, with Rocking The Daisies in the Western Cape, and OppiKoppi in Limpopo.

The four-day festivals, beginning on Thursday and drawing to a close on Sunday, hosted the likes of The Naked and Famous and Two Door Cinema Club, to name just a few.

Naturally, social media users couldn’t resist posting an artsy photograph or sneaky selfie to Instagram.

Here’s a quick sample of what South Africa got up to this weekend.

OppiKoppi 2017 according to Instagram:

Farewell @oppikoppi, thanks for having us! The stages were on fire 🔥and not even the rain ☔ could extinguish it! #oppikoppi is one of those #festivals where not only the #performers and #musisions are #artists, but the #festivalgoers too. Whether they portray it in the way they dress, dance, drink or the creative ways to entertain themselves and others. Oppi is a #blank #canvas where a #masterpiece gets #painted every year. From my side a special thanks to some of the #bands and #artists that made this #oppikoppi a #memorable one for me : @dirtymoonshine, @vanpletz & @earlybmusic, @dieheuwels, @francoisvancoke & @die_gevaar, @theblackcatbones, @grassyspark and @weareacademie….the talent in #southafrica and #southafricanmusic is amazing! Keep the #kaklekkervibes goin! . . #instafestival #limpopo #proudlysa #loolnessdesign
