Instagram encourages Americans to vote with Stories stickers

Instagram has revealed two new features for the upcoming elections taking place in the United States next week.
The features come in the form of an “I Voted” sticker in Stories and a highlighted story called “We Voted!”.
This means that if you want to show off your contribution to society, you can use the sticker and then view who else has used it via the We Voted! story. According to Instagram, only people you follow who have used the sticker will appear in this space.
“We’ve seen our community use Instagram to share that they voted with friends and family — and we’re thrilled to make this even easier and more expressive,” explains the company.
These new features seemingly aim to encourage the American public to take part in voting by giving them a fun incentive.
“After you use the ‘I Voted’ sticker, your friends can tap the sticker in your story to find their polling location via Get to the Polls, a nonpartisan site”.
These Election Day features will also appear in Spanish.
