Proteas take on West Indies today (if it isn’t completely rained out)

It’s been a rough first week for the Proteas at the Cricket World Cup 2019, and it’s not about to get any easier.

After losing to England, Bangladesh and India, today the team faces the West Indies, a squad that came remarkably close to beating Australia last week.

It’s a tough ask to topple the Windies, but Twitter has faith.

But there’s one thing that could stop the match altogether: rain.

Reports and forecasts from in and around Southampton suggest a gloomy, wet Cape Town-like winter’s day for the city.

It could be decidedly difficult for the Proteas to turn their losing streak around.

The match kicks off at 11.30am SAST, and if you can’t catch it live, learn how to use Google’s nifty score popup feature on your Android device.
