Costs to repair your new Samsung Galaxy Z duo
Samsung has released what it describes as the next generation of foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4, but how much will it cost you for minor to major repairs?
We look at how much it will cost to repair your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4 and this is our possible solution for your worry days when that dreaded accident happens.
Samsung has a service contract that covers mechanical breakdown and accidental damage from handling called the Samsung Care Plus.
The service fee varies on the claim, but the good news is that there is no service fee for mechanical breakdown claims.
How much is Samsung Care Plus a month?
Plan for the unplanned and expect to cough up R 129 per month or a once off payment of over R 2000. Peace of mind is what you’re paying for as you’ll stay protected beyond the standard device warranty of 36 months.
There is a catch. According to the Samsung Care Plus site, the plan can only be purchased within 30 days from the device purchase date.
With the plan you get:
- Up to two claims for accidental damage repairs within 36 months, and save on repair fee.
- Repairs using genuine Samsung parts
- Battery replacements with each valid screen repair
- If your phone has somehow lost it’s mind and isn’t responding, the plan ensures experts will troubleshoot and fix the issue.
