Got a whacking big scientific accessory? Then you can do great things with the iPhone 5S
Want to accurately measure the weather, or sculpt a diamond, or determine the pH level of some remote jungle river? If Apple is to be believed, then all you need is an iPhone 5S…oh and some bulky and undoubtedly expensive accessories.
The ad for the current top of the line iPhone comes as anticipation builds for the iPhone 6 and shows people using the iPhone to do a variety of noble and heroic activities. As well as the above mentioned activities, a pilot checks flight conditions, an EMT alerts his crew to all the activities they have to get to, a doctor uses a translation app to ask a confused mother what her childs’ pulse is (we’re not sure why she doesn’t just measure it) and a vet performs an ECG on a horse.
While the ad is obviously meant to make you feel like your iPhone is an incredible piece of technology capable of doing great things, we can’t help but feel that it will just make a lot of people feel bad for the really mundane day to day stuff they use their phones for.
