Last chance before it’s made redundant: iPhone 4S now available for FNB customers for R295 monthly

South African banking giant FNB is now offering the iPhone 4S for R295 monthly in its already healthy lineup of smartphones and tablets. There are well over 20 smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S II to select from, if an FNB customer needs a brand new device. But none of those mattered. It’s the iPhone 4S that makes the biggest splash in the pond, and it’s now available for qualifying FNB customers.

It’s not just a vanity addition for FNB. No sir, according to the bank “43% of Banking App users have downloaded the Banking App on iOS devices (Apple devices), therefore the addition to the range. Apple recently announced their new generation smartphone, the iPhone 5, which will only be available in South Africa towards the end of the year. FNB will continually endeavour to bring our clients the latest phones and tablets including the iPhone 5, however in the interim and due to its popularity, the iPhone 4S will be made available to customers”.

What a pity that customers have to slum it with the iPhone 4S during the interim. There’s two easy ways for existing customers to snag this device. Log in to the online banking site and sign up for an iPhone 4S for R295 per month, or text “FNB” to 32812. This applies to customers in South Africa only. The iPhone 4S is still one of the premier smartphones, that is until the iPhone 5 finds its way into every pocket ever.
