Watch 30 mind-bending minutes of ‘BEYOND: Two Souls’

BEYOND: Two Souls is going to be an amazingly cinematic game, if nothing else. And we’ve got well over thirty minutes of gameplay from the (previously) live-streamed gameplay demoed at the Tribeca Film Festival at the bottom of this story.

BEYOND: Two Souls is the latest title from David Cage, the brains behind games such as Heavy Rain, the Nomad Soul and Fahrenheit. His games lean towards heavily cinematic affairs with some light gaming elements, but we love him more for that. Cage is a games lover with his vision fixed firmly on evoking an emotion from the player, which most of his games succeed in doing so.

Expect plenty of plot, as in-game actress and BEYOND main star Ellen Paige (of Juno fame) said that well over two-thousand pages of script were created for BEYOND. There’s nothing short about BEYOND, and it plans to be a “brief” ten-hour long experience according to VG247.com. Story matters to Cage, he wants people to play his games to the very end and over 75% of all gamers who played Heavy Rain, finished it. “People wanted to see the end, they wanted to know what would happen next all this was very important,” says Cage.

BEYOND has a tentative release 8 October 2013 release date and is exclusive to the PS3. Will the story matter to you? View the incredible thirty-two minute video below.
