76 reasons to love the new fifth-gen iPad

Someone’s got their hands on the fifth-gen iPad and his name, is Sonny Dickson. Dickson’s site deals in leaked prototypes and today, the sites got a barrage of images of the latest iPad that should launch 22 October. The new iPad is pictured with the iPad Mini in some shots to show off the chamfered edges with the “Space Grey” colour. As the site points out, most of the leaks have been low-quality in nature, so these clear shots (from god knows who, a disgruntled Apple employee perhaps) are welcoming indeed.

We wrote about the upcoming iPad earlier this week, saying that it’ll come with the A7X CPU, a “thinner, lighter” frame which is all but confirmed in these leaked images, and possibly the TouchID fingerprint scanner. These images look tough to fake, and we’ve seen our fair share of crappy prototype shots. These 76 shots are of the highest quality.

Most irritatingly of all, none of the images show the “Home” button of the new iPad. So sadly, no one can comment if there will be TouchID or not. Let’s just hope that Apple is generous enough to include it in its latest tablet.
