Two Xbox One bundles available for South African pre-orders from today

On the back of the E3 news that Microsoft will launch the Xbox One in South Africa on 23 September, the company has now confirmed that prospective buyers can today begin pre-ordering the console in one of two guises.

Previously, there was news about that the Xbox One will be offered in two variants — one with and without the Kinect. But the latest press release from Xbox Southh Africa confirms this, in addition to the bundled game line-up.

Both packages will feature the 500GB console with Blu-ray player and native WiFi connectivity. Also bundled is an HDMI cable, a headset and a 14 day free trial of Xbox Live Gold for non-members. Both packages will also come with a digital copy of EA Sports’ FIFA 15, which will be released officially in South Africa three days later.

However, that’s where the similarities stop. The premium, limited edition package (available for R7 999) will come with the “all new Kinect” motion and voice interface, a Day One limited edition wireless controller, and to take advantage of the Kinect’s ablities, a copy of Dance Central Spotlight.

The cheaper package (R6 299) will ship without the Kinect, but Microsoft does include a wireless controller with the console. Gamers purchasing this package will get Forza Motorsport 5 alongside FIFA 15.

Both packages are available until stocks last, while Xbox South Africa claims that there will be “nine new titles” coming to the platform by the holiday season. The division has also promised some more updates “soon.”
