Here are all 123 games on the PlayStation Now Beta store: includes Sonic CD, Farming Simulator and Crazy Taxi
Living in South Africa means that certain mouth-watering applications like Sony’s PlayStation Now game-streaming service are simply unavailable. This doesn’t stop us from hoping that one day, our frankly awful internet will eventually support PlayStation Now, which requires at a minimum, a 5Mbps internet line.
Earlier this week, Sony’s PlayStation Now entered beta for everyone in the US with a PS4. Many have likened it to Netflix or OnLive, as it’s a streaming game and rental service. But unlike Netflix, PlayStation Now rentals are priced in the upper echelons. For instance, renting Final Fantasy XIII-2 for four hours costs US$4.99. Renting the same game for three months is US$29.99, which is almost double the price of the actual game.
This is just one example of the 123 PlayStation Now game currently available. Hopefully, as the service exits beta, Sony will improve the pricing structure and wisely place its users needs ahead of profit and gains. For now though, we have a list of all 123 games currently available on PlayStation Now, care of NeoGAF forum user Genesis Knight. The list is like a back-catalogue of the PS3’s greatest hits, with Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Darksiders 2 and Just Cause 2 three examples of some excellent games on offer. And look, even Sonic CD makes the cut.
Next on our wish list: Sony drops the prices of game rentals and opens up PlayStation Now to the rest of the world. While we wait for this glorious day, let’s bask in the 123 games currently available for rental:
