Street Fighter V beta begins for PlayStation 4 users tomorrow

The long wait is over, well, at least in terms of beta play for all you non-Mortal Kombat fans. We haven’t seen a Street Fighter game in a good while, and now Capcom is bringing a five-day long beta to the PlayStation 4 tomorrow.

The Street Fighter V beta will begin on 1am SAST (or 4pm PST) on 29 August and run until 2 September 4pm SAST (or 7am PST) and will be a worldwide test.

Although the game looks pretty damn polished for such a youthful venture, Capcom has suggested that there could be connectivity issues.

“Outside of the servers being shut down for periodic maintenance, we expect everything to run continuously throughout the entire five day beta period,” notes Capcom on its Unity blog.

Although we want you all to experience the awesomeness that is Street Fighter V during this time, please note that this is a beta and users may run into connectivity issues. This data is extremely helpful to us, as it will ensure that the final product will have the most optimal net code. In case there are issues, be sure to follow @SFVServer on Twitter for the latest updates on the status of the server.

Of course, being it a PlayStation 4 exclusive, all you Nintendo and Xbox console users will have to sit this one out.
