HMD Global’s Nokia has announced its release roadmap for Android 10.
After Google announced that it would be dropping its dessert codenames for its mobile operating system, HMD Global announced that 17 of its smartphones will receive the update to the next edition of Android within the span of nine months.
The first three smartphones to receive the update will be the Nokia 7.1, 8.1 and 9 Pureview. These three will receive Android 10 by Q4 2019 — later this year.
By Q1 2020, or the first three months of the year, the 6.1, 6.1 Plus and 7 Plus will receive the update. Later that quarter, the Nokia 2.2, 3.1 Plus, 3.2 and 4.2 will be upgraded. The 1 Plus, 5.1 Plus and 8 Sirocco will be the last three devices to receive the update in this quarter.
The Nokia 2.1, 3.1, 5.1 and 1 will receive the update by Q2 2020.
HMD Global notes that availability dates may vary based on locality and carrier support.
