HMD Global has brought a new addition to its 5 Series, the affordable Nokia 5.4 smartphone, to South Africa.

The company announced the phone’s local availability on 14 April.

“With the Nokia 5.4 we wanted to combine high performance with great value and offer more with this phone,” Shaun Durandt, General Manager for Southern Africa, said in a statement.

“I like to think we set the bar for what mid-range phones should offer, so it’s hugely important to me to design phones that not only perform but are also secure and built to last.”

What are the phone’s specs and features?

On the front, the phone boasts a 6.39-inch LCD display with 720×1560 HD+ resolution. There is a 16MP hole-punch selfie camera located in the top left-hand corner of the display.
