In a smooth and elegant new advertising campaign for Smart Water, Hollywood celebrity Jennifer Aniston touches on all the popular memes of the day in a shameless act of SEO-baiting that manages to poke fun at viral videos while ensuring that the ad gets all the web traffic that they generate.
The new ad is a who’s who of what’s hot on the web right now. Everything from cute puppies to dancing babies, Double Rainbow Guy and that crazy kid who mimes hit songs into camera, is featured in the ad. Aniston even kicks a guy in the crotch because “apparently it’s worth 100 000 hits”.
It’s an ingenious way of using the heat generated online in a big, bold TV campaign. As if the title of the video itself wasn’t enough.
