If you’re a DStv subscriber, and just happen to be looking for a streaming music service, you can now stream local and international music for free via JOOX.

In an announcement, DStv revealed the offer is open for up to four family members of Premium, Compact and Compact Plus customers at no extra cost.

“JOOX is a music streaming app that gives you access to thousands of music libraries and playlists on your iOS or Android mobile device,” the company explained.

To get your free access, all you have to do as a qualifying subscriber is download the JOOX app and enter the account holder’s ID number under “DStv Customer” in the JOOX VIP section of the app. You will be sent a one-time-pin (OTP) which you then enter into the app.

If you’re a family member, you can select the “Family Member” option in the JOOX app and enter the account holder’s number, who will then receive an OTP for you to use. The JOOX VIP package is valued at R89.99

“JOOX lets you access millions of tracks, switch to karaoke mode and learn the lyrics of your favourite songs (you can also sing-along) as well as create and share playlists”.

Other DStv subscription packages can also access JOOX for free, but will not have free VIP access.
