New WhatsApp for Windows app is in development, report suggests
WhatsApp insider blog WABetaInfo revealed in a tweet on Tuesday that the chat messaging service is developing a new desktop WhatsApp app for Windows.
“Today I can OFFICIALLY confirm that WhatsApp is working on UWP! It’s real,” it said in a tweet.
I’ve talked about WhatsApp Business for iOS, WhatsApp Business for Android, WhatsApp for KaiOS and recently about WhatsApp Messenger and Business for iPad, before any public announcement from WhatsApp.

This suggests that WhatsApp will release a version of its app designed specifically for Windows devices, even though their is an app currently available on the platform.
Though WABetaInfo claims that the information is true, the site has not revealed when we could expect the new app to launch.
