Create your own Instagram AR effects with this new Facebook app

Now you can make your own AR camera effects and publish them on Instagram thanks to Facebook’s Spark AR, a new app the company launched to public beta on Tuesday.

The app, which is available to download on iOS and Android, provides users with “step-by-step guides, tutorials, FAQs, and sample effects” to help them make their own AR filters like those found on Instagram Stories.

Spark AR allows users to build their effects with or without code, and prospective designers can access Facebook’s free library of audio and 3D images.

“Spark AR Studio has everything you need to get started,” Facebook said on its tech website.

To find the self-made and published effects, users can go to “browse more effects” on Instagram Stories. There you can search effects by category, try them out and save them to your Stories camera.
