Samsung Galaxy S11 to feature 120Hz display, only 25W charging
Don’t you just love it when software on another device largely confirms the features of another? According to leakster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Note 9’s current One UI 2.0 beta has revealed a possible feature relating to the Samsung Galaxy S11 series.
Although the menu is actually hidden on the Note 9, it relates to screen refresh rate, giving users the option to switch between 60Hz or 120Hz.
Samsung’s calling the latter “High refresh rate”.

Of course, the Galaxy Note 9 doesn’t have the hardware to push its screen to 120Hz, but it has long been suggested that future Samsung’s would.
The benefits of this technology means smoother scrolling for users and more fluid animations but at the cost of battery life.
Should Samsung take the plunge, it’ll join the likes of Razer, OnePlus, Huawei, Google and a smattering of others in implementing high refresh rate screens (albeit, OnePlus and Huawei are currently using 90Hz technology).
None of these details have yet been confirmed, and they probably won’t be until the traditional Galaxy S launch window of February-March. But a lot is seemingly already known about the S11.
What else we think we know about the Samsung Galaxy S11
For one, China’s 3C agency (via DroidShout) on Thursday also confirmed that what is believed to be the S11 will feature 25W charging — that’s a lot slower than the Note 10 Plus’s 45W.
5G will also make another appearance on the S series.
Other suggestions include the use of a 108MP sensor for the primary camera, alongside a 5x zoom periscope camera. 8K video recording may also be supported for the first time on a smartphone.
