  • ‘The Lion King’ trailer will give you the feels all over again

In 1994, little known animated movie (/s) The Lion King made its debut and became my (and possibly the entire world's) favourite flick of all time. Filled with endearing characters, moving scenes, and a storyline laced with valuable life lessons, it was hard to beat in its day, and now. But next year, a reimagined CGI version of that same movie is set to make its debut, and today, Walt Disney Studios released its first trailer. Directed by Jon Favreau (who brought the world Iron Man and The Jungle Book), The Lion King tells the story of Simba who "must overcome betrayal...

  • Ariana Grande hits back at Piers Morgan for criticising Little Mix, Ellen and her mom

Good Morning America anchor Piers Morgan has once again found himself at the centre of a Twitter war between UK pop group Little Mix, Ellen DeGeneres, Ariana Grande and her mother. On Tuesday, Morgan targeted the girl band and criticised their choice of art for their upcoming album LM5. The cover is reminiscent of an Entertainement Weekly cover of the Dixie Chicks, who have text adorning their naked bodies. Hey @LittleMix - when are you going to admit you stole this idea from @dixiechicks? pic.twitter.com/dLRX2TMv2k — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) November 20, 2018 "Hey @LittleMix - when are you going to admit you stole...

  • ‘Sabrina’ star Gavin Leatherwood demonstrates how not to baste a turkey

Thanksgiving's tomorrow, but you may not want to take genuine cooking advice from the following clip. Netflix is known for using some pretty strange methods on social media to parade its shows, but the latest promo for The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is among the weirdest. Nicholas Scratch, or Gavin Leatherwood as he's known in the human realm, shows everyone how you shouldn't baste a turkey. From zero to cringe in two minutes, the warlock drizzles raw bird juice down his throat, garnishes that with whipped cream, and, the worst part of the video by far, makes the lumpiest looking mashed potatoes...

  • Netflix South Africa’s ‘Ultra’ package now available to some

Netflix South Africa has launched a fourth tier to its current list of streaming packages in the form of an "Ultra" option. The option, which seems exactly the same as Netflix’s R169 Premium option but with added support for better audio quality, will be available for R239. According to an interview with MyBroadband, Netflix has noted that the additional tier is merely a test. “Not everyone will see the test, and we may not ever offer the specific price points or features beyond this test,” the streaming told the publication. Though the test is only now coming to South Africa, the Ultra package...

  • Video: Rassie Erasmus makes a mockery of ‘that’ England tackle

Tackles are a pretty important element of any rugby match, and if you get it wrong, you could injure your opponent pretty badly. This weekend, in a narrow victory for England over the Spingboks in London, the former's Owen Farrell landed a controversial tackle on the Springbok's André Esterhuizen in the dying minutes of the game. Esterhuizen was knocked to the ground, England recovered the ball, and then kicked it into touch, ending the match 12-11 in its favour. And while the Springboks asked the Australian referee Angus Gardner to review his decision, he found no fault. So of course it would be hilarious...
